Backgammon is a board game for two players.
The board consists of 24 triangles, points or "tongues" referred, of which 12 are each on a page. The fields here are 1-6 for the inner court or home field. Fields 7-12 are for the outer pitch or outfield.
The game is played with 15 white and 15 black pieces, the list is fixed. Each player has two dice, a mug and a special six-sided dice. The players move their pieces according to how they have rolled.
The game objective is to bring his own pieces in his own home board and bear them off from there. Here, the predetermined direction in a clockwise direction are respected (one can never pull in the opposite direction). The winner is the player who most quickly brought his 15Spielsteine from the board.
* Beginning of the game
At the beginning of the game the game pieces are placed in the following way:
At the beginning of the game, you throw your opponent at the same time, each only a cube. The player with the higher number may not start and uses the value of the two thrown Würfel.Bei tie both players roll again.
* Moving the pieces
Tokens move
The players then take turns to throw two dice and move one or more stones to the number of fields, corresponding to the number of dots on the two dice. For example, if the dice show 2 and 4, you can either:
- Move forward with a stone and two boxes with another fourth
- Move forward with a stone 4 squares and 2 with another
- Move forward one and the same stone until 2 and then 4 squares.
- Move forward one and the same stone until 4, then 2 fields.
Oops! When moving a single stone, this stone can not move at once to six fields. You must do the move in two lines: 2 or 4 fields and two fields, and then 4
If you roll the dice in one throw two equal numbers (eg: 3 and 3), may you move forward at twice the total number of dots. A litter of 3-3 allows you so move your stones around 4 times 3 squares.
Blocked field
To make an advance, the target field must not be blocked. Such a field is blocked when it is occupied by at least two opposing stones.
You can put your stones in the direction of free:
- A free field
- A field that is occupied by one or more stones of your color
- A field that is occupied by only a single stone of your opponent
A stone hit
A player can hit a stone of the opponent, if he ends up dragging on a point (or stopping), where only one of the opponent's. This checker is placed on the bar and have to start all over again.
